Learning Other Languages

Mastering a proven method for learning any language.

Real communication and friendship involves being able to speak people's language.  Supremely, in communicating the message of Jesus Christ, we need to be able to speak to people in a way they really understand.  This course teaches a proven self-directed method of language learning used successfully by missionaries around the world.  It includes mastering this method and using it to learn some of another language.  Once you have learnt the method, you can apply it to any language.  Topics covered in the course:

During the course, you will spend some time each week practising learning a language.  It is useful to have living nearby some people who speak another language which you can practise learning.  The course takes three months if undertaken part-time (four to six hours per week including work with your language helper and conversation with speakers of the language), costs GB£75, and includes materials, telephone and e-mail tutorials.  It is important to have access to a portable cassette player.
